Information Security Engineer - Hybrid

We are currently seeking strong candidates for a full-time Information Security Engineer position in our Overland Park, Kansas headquarters. 

Under the guidance of information security leadership, the Information Security Engineer is tasked with:

• Analyzing, implementing, testing, operating, and maintaining new information security solutions
• Developing and maintaining automation using scripting languages and tools provided by Mariner's security platforms
• Providing upper-tier support for Information Security solutions and platforms, including:
• SIEM (Security Information and Event Management)
• Vulnerability Management Platform
• EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response)
• SSE/SASE (Secure Service Edge/Secure Access Service Edge) Solution
• Secure Email Solutions
• Single Sign-on
• Device Management Platforms
• Detection & Response Platform
• Supporting assessments and audits within the Information Security Program to evaluate system performance and contribute to the evaluation of their operational effectiveness
• Tracking and reporting on metrics generated by Information Security solutions and platforms
• Analysis of the security aspects of new or existing business applications, software, or specialized utility programs, providing insights and recommendations on potential information security implications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience
• 3 - 5 years of work experience, financial services industry experience a plus

• Self-motivated, adaptable and able to thrive in a continually evolving environment
• The ability to collaborate effectively with team members and organizational leaders across differing leadership and technical levels
• Must possess a high level of verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, critical thinking skills, be highly organized, and able to work on multiple concurrent projects with varying timelines
